Award for Excellence for Outstanding Paper (MCB, 1995) for "Empirical Analysis of Quality Improvements in Manufacturing" published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Quality Management . (co-authors M. Putterill and D. Sluti)

Outstanding Paper Award for Application of Theory (1991) for "Comparing Alternative Transportation Strategies Using Computer-Based Simulation Models", was nominated by the Decision Science Institute (DSI), USA. (co-author B. Hardie, London Business School)

Best Paper Award (1991) Paper entitled "Manufacturing and Market Impacts of Improved Process Quality - Some Empirical Evidence", was nominated by the Production Operations Management Society of America, POMS and won the Third Place in the final competition in. (co-author D. Sluti)

Best Dissertation Award (1993) for PhD thesis "Impact of Quality Improvements on Manufacturing Performance" of Dr D G Sluti, completed under my supervision, won the Third place in the competition of the Operations Management Society in New York in November.
